Established in 1977, the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP), is an umbrella organization of the three accrediting agencies: (ACSU-AAI, PACUCOA, and PAASCU). It is authorized by the Commission on Higher Education and the Department of Education to review, approve, and certify the accrediting decisions made by the accrediting agencies to grant progressive deregulation and other benefits.
